Offer

Send a client a price quote before the job is confirmed.

An offer is a price quote you send before a job is confirmed. It is built from the job's positions and prices, the same as an invoice, but it is a proposal rather than a bill.

On the form

FieldWhat it does
Offer dateThe date on the offer. Starts at today.
Lead timeHow many days until you can deliver. Starts at 30.
VAT rateThe rate applied to the total. Starts from your financial settings.
PositionsA checklist of the job's positions. Tick the ones to quote; a filter box helps you find them.

On the document

The offer lists the positions you picked with their prices, then a subtotal, the VAT, and the total, along with the lead time so the client knows when the work can be delivered.

Once a client accepts an offer, move the work order's status to Offer Accepted and carry on. The offer itself is a record of what you quoted; billing happens later with an invoice.
