Income details
A month-by-month breakdown of income, expenses, and profit, job by job.
Where the Overview sums everything up, the Details tab breaks it down by month and by job. It is where you go to see how a particular month did, and which work orders made or lost money.
Choosing what to see
Filters at the bottom of the page control everything above them.
- Year and Month pick the period. The page opens on the current month.
- Include VAT switches every figure on the page between net and VAT-inclusive amounts.
Change any of these and the cards and the table below update to match.
The month's totals
The cards at the top total the chosen month: your income, your material and tooling expenses, and how the income splits across clients. They are the same headline figures as the Overview, narrowed to the one month.
The breakdown table
Below the cards, each work order from that month is a row.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| # | The work order number |
| Client | The company the job is for |
| Date | When the job was raised |
| Status | Where the job is now |
| Amount | The value of the job |
| Expenses | The expenses booked against the job |
| Profit | The amount less those expenses |
This lets you see profit job by job, not just as one total, so a job whose material cost ate its margin stands out from the rest.
Income counts confirmed work
The month's income total counts jobs that have been accepted or are further along. Jobs still at Received, Offer Sent, or Offer Declined are left out of the total, since they are not income yet, though they still appear in the table for the month.
