Set up financial data
Set your currency, VAT rate, bank details, and payment terms before you create any work orders.
Before you create any work orders, set up your financial data. Your currency, tax rate, bank details, and payment terms are entered once and then reused by every work order and every document you generate. You will find them under Settings, on the Financial page, and only an admin can save them.
Currency is copied onto each work order
A work order takes a copy of your currency and VAT rate at the moment it is created and keeps that copy forever. Work orders made before you fill this page in are stamped with a fallback currency, and correcting the setting afterwards does not go back and fix them. The only way to repair one is to create it again.
What to fill in
Open Settings, then Financial
Set your default currency, VAT rate, bank account and name, payment due days, and an optional invoice footer note.
Save
Press Save changes. A confirmation appears, and the values are live from that moment.
The point of doing this first is the currency: get it right before any work orders exist, so every job is priced correctly from the start.
For what each field does and where it appears on your documents, see Financial settings under Settings.
