Overview
Track the raw material you hold in stock — by group, alloy, and dimensions, with low-stock warnings.
Material inventory tracks the raw stock you keep on hand: the bars and sections you cut parts from. Each material is described by its group and alloy and its dimensions, and carries a stock quantity so you know how much is left.
A material is grouped under a material group, such as a particular steel or aluminium grade. The group also carries the density used elsewhere in the app to work out weights.
Units
Stock is counted in one of four units, whichever suits the material.
| Unit | For |
|---|---|
| pcs | Counted pieces |
| mm | Length in millimetres |
| m | Length in metres |
| kg | Weight |
Low stock
Each material can have a minimum stock level. When the stock on hand falls below it, the material is flagged as low, so you know to reorder before you run out.
