Position details

Everything about one part — its order details, files, material, and its traveler documents.

Open a position from the positions table to see it in full. This page gathers everything about one part: what to make, the files that describe it, the material it is cut from, and the shop paperwork generated for it.

The header

Across the top are the part's number and name, with its status and priority shown as badges. Admins and moderators also get Edit and Delete buttons here, for changing the part or removing it. Members see the badges but not the buttons.

Order details

A short table of the essentials: the quantity to make, the deadline, and the price of one part. The price is shown to admins and moderators only.

Files

The drawing and model attached to the part, if any.

• A drawing can be viewed, downloaded, or printed straight from here.
• A model can be downloaded.

If nothing was attached when the part was added, this reads as having no files.

Material

The raw material set for the part on the Materials page: its type, alloy, and the dimensions that apply to it, each in millimetres. Only the dimensions that were filled in are shown, so a round bar lists a diameter and length rather than every possible measurement. A part with no material entered yet says so.

Status tracking

This panel lists the stages a part moves through on the floor: Preparation, In Progress, Control, and Completed. It is a placeholder for start and end times, which are not recorded here yet.

Traveler documents

A traveler is the sheet that follows the part around the workshop. Use Generate traveler to create one for this position; it is built and added to the list here. Once generated, a traveler can be viewed, downloaded, or voided like any other document. Until you make one, this section says no travelers have been generated.
