Work order details

The overview you land on when you open a job — its position stats, its details, and where to edit it.

Open a work order and you land on its details. A navbar appears across the top with four tabs, Overview, Positions, Materials, and Documents, and this page is the Overview tab. The others each have their own page in this section.

Positions status

The top of the page counts the job's positions by where they are in the shop, so you can see the state of the whole job at a glance.

Work order details

Below the cards is the job's detail, laid out as a list.

RowWhat it shows
CustomerThe client the job is for
StatusThe job's current status
PriorityThe job's current priority
DeadlineThe due date
AmountThe value of the job, in its currency
VAT amountThe tax, when the job uses VAT
Total with VATAmount and VAT together
CreatedThe date the job was raised

The Amount, VAT amount, and Total with VAT rows are shown to admins and moderators only. Members see the job's progress and its details, but not its money. A value that is not ready yet appears as a small Coming soon badge instead of a number.

Editing and deleting

Admins and moderators get a panel for changing the job. On a wide screen it sits on the right of the page; on a smaller screen it is behind the gear button in the bottom corner.

From there you can edit the work order, changing its client, status, priority, deadline, or VAT, or delete it entirely. Members do not see this panel, so a job is safe from accidental changes by the shop floor.

Deleting is permanent

Deleting a work order removes the job and everything under it: its positions and their operations, its materials, and the documents and files it holds, including the drawings, models, and generated PDFs in storage. This cannot be undone. Recorded expenses are the exception and are kept, though they are no longer tied to the deleted job. To close a job out without losing any of this, change its status instead of deleting it.
